  • Some video from Ipswich Vintage Kart Prix on the weekend. Love the noise and the kart behaviour!


  • Superkarts are set to run at Sandown next month, but a strict noise limit of 75dB will be policed, meaning only non-gearbox (ie, Rotax) and the Stock Honda class will be able to run:


  • Senna kart model kits by Fujimi. There are two kits - his 135cc DAP from the 1981 World Cup, and the 1993 'Bercy' kart. Both kits are injection moulded plastic in 1:20 scale.


  • In addition to the annoncement earlier this month that the opening round of the CIK Stars of Karting championship at Ipswich will be live streamed on the internet next weekend, there is now a video with the same news.   • Current Junior Clubman Australian Champion Josh Denton has announced a new partnership with AQUAhydrate as his choice of high-performance alkaline hydration water. AQUA hydrate is a "high-performance" water without the sugar and calories found in traditional sports drinks. The South Australian's first outing with his new sponsor is at the CIK Stars of Karting round at Ipswich this weekend.

  • Crack UK-based Rotax team Strawberry Racing will field 18 drivers in British and European competitions this season. Sean Babington and Oliver York are significant new signings for 2014. Babington joins Swedish star Andreas Backman to spearhead the works Tony Kart team’s Rotax DD2 effort. Former British and vice-European champion Joe Reilly has been persuaded to return to full-time karting, joining China’s Guan Yu Zhou (who steps up from Juniors) in Senior MAX.
