Cadets

Oscar Comley and Jac Preston shared the spoils in Cadets with 2 wins each, but Comley’s win in the Final gave him 1st place overall. Charlie Ploetz kept them both honest at times but had to settle for 3rd overall. Kai Walker and Christopher Christensen were consistent in 4th and 5th. Chace Gooding was 1st P-Plater ahead of Isaac Christensen.

Qld Sportsman Heavy & Senior National

For the 3rd meeting in a row Tony Knight went home with the 1st place trophy, but he was seriously challenged at various times throughout the day by Nathan Pearce and Mark Keilar. Brent Weedon and Andrew Morgan were the most consistent of the big mid field pack and finished 4th and 5th overall on the day. Paul Brackham was having a pretty good day and looked good for 4th place overall but a DNF in the Final dropped him to 6th overall on points. Joshua Bell was the only Senior National entry and had a lonely day trying to keep up with the Sportsman Heavy guys.

Rookies

Jarrod Costello was just a little too good in Rookies with 4 race wins. Josh Radford and Broc Feeney had some entertaining duals for the minor placings with Bailey Sagaidak a little bit further back in 4th all day. Dale Zimmermann, Harrison Stock and Marcos Innes have all shown great improvement lately and had some thrilling mid field battles. Sam McCarthy was 1st P-Plater.

Junior National Light & Heavy

Max Adams, Damon Ash and Zak Hudson shared the placings throughout the day, but Adams was too good in the Final and eventually was a clear points winner after Ash was a DSQ in the Final and Hudson DNF’d. Ryan Jordan was just off the pace of the front three throughout the day ahead of William Bruce, these two eventually rewarded with 2nd and 3rd in the Final, but 4th and 5th overall. Braydn Sagaidak was the only Heavy entrant and did well to hang on to the back of the Lights at times. Brieann Moyse did very well in her first race at Warwick to be 1st P-Plater.

J Max

William Brown and Daniel Plant had some good racing in J Max, Plant winning Heat 1 with Brown winning the other 3 races to finish 1st overall. Jack Smith tried real hard to stay with these two but had to settle for 3rd all day, ahead of Nick Lane and Sebastian Blindell.

Qld Sportsman Light

Dean Weigman and Luke Thomas were the class of the field in Qld Sportsman Light sharing the wins across the day with 2 each, but Weigmans win in the Final meant he pipped Thomas to the top step of the podium. Jackson Lines was the best of the rest ahead of David Bossons. Kris Usher got some good results early in the day but a DNF in the Final dropped him to 5th overall.

TaG 125 Light & Heavy

It was great to see Jessica Golding return to Warwick and she was in good form with 4 wins from 4 starts to comfortably win TaG Light from Lachlan Palmer. William Yarwood brought his Project X team up from Brisbane for the day and also had 4 wins from 4 starts ahead of Patrick Mather and Sam Houston.

The next race meeting at Sandy Creek Raceway will be on Sunday the 9th of March.
