• Free Tyres! Rotax Heavy drivers who compete in both the Dubbo and Lithgow rounds of the Rotax Pro Tour will receive a free set of Mojo D2 tyres:
  
  
  
• A reminder that entries for the first AKA State Championship for 2014, the Victorian Open at Oakleigh on March 5 to 9, close this Thursday, Feb 13. Link to the Supp Regs is on the Race Calendar page.
  
  
• The Oakleigh Go Kart Club wish to remind karters that the February club day on the 23rd is for OGKRC members only (ie, not an open test day for the Vic Open). "It is a closed club day and unless you are a fully paid up member of the club you will not be allowed to race" President Adam Bourke informed KartSportNews.

• The CIK-FIA has been publishing regular updates about people and companies involved in CIK karting. The latest posts are:
  • Charles Leclerc, the 2011 Academy Trophy winner. The 16-year old talks about his time in karting of which he has just completed his final season. Read it HERE
  • Jos Verstappen, the father of Max. The sometimes controversial Jos talks about his season with MAX HERE
  • 2014 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy update HERE. The three-round championship commences at Genk (Belgium) on May 12 to 15.
    
    
• Ultimate Industries Australia has announced an alliance with Freem Racewear Australia and launched the brand ‘Freem Trackside’. Freem Trackside is an exclusive authorised dealer for Freem Racewear and supply everything from suits, gloves, bags, rib/chest protectors, boots, custom team wear/apparel and much more. The Freem Trackside website, with an online shop, will be launched soon. Ultimate Marquees will also be under the Ultimate Industries Australia banner, servicing the karting industry for all Marquee, Flag Banners, Parts and Custom Printing needs in alliance with Altegra Australia. They had a trackside presence at the Junior Top Guns last month and plan to be at other events such as CIK, Nationals and AKA state titles.
