Birel Announce 2014 Karts & Parts

The Birel factory has announced a number of technical and stylistic changes to their karts and accessories for the 2014 range of models. They are designed to imporve the look and performance of the karts, and the 2014 range of chassis are identified as "S6".

"Structural changes had been made with consequent improvement of performance, easier driving and the consistancy of the kart" Birel has stated.

Because of their extra power and weight, karts designed for the Shifter classes will have different geometry and accessories to the rest of the range.

RY 30-S6: the frame RY30 has undergone important changes and structural improvements then it’s facile find the right set up, conjugated to a performance of excellent level. Very versatile, easily adaptable to different types of tires and conditions

CRY 30-S6: the CRY30-S6 has be developed specially for the gear categories and it has as principal characteristic an optimal rear grip while it was fluently and with performance. The new axle support bearing permit to lower the frame of 8mm, increasing the braking and the traction.

RY 32-S6: The RY32-S6 has been developed in the geometry, to make it more “FREE” for the characteristics of the mono-brand categories, in order to offer better performance especially in the categories that use medium – hard tires.

CRY 32-S6: also this kart, while received excellent results, has been developed in the structure, to improve, in particular, braking and traction in order to offer better performance especially in the categories that use medium – hard tires.

C28-R: on the minikart C28-R, structural changes had been made, both geometrical and material, to improve the performance and the easier driving.

Eccentric Bushing - the eccentric bushing (camber and caster) has been modified to improve both the functionality and ease of installation and setting

Spindle - the new spindles offer the possibility to have two positions for the steering arm to allow angle adjustment and alter performance in different conditions

Spindle for the KZ version - same as above, but with bracket to fix the brake caliper

Wheel hub - the new aluminum wheel hub, will be mounted as standard on all new S6 karts. They will be more structural and solid (without the hub clamp) and 90mm

Rear axle bearing support has have been revised and stiffened to increase

the rigidity in order to improve the side roadholding of the kart and make easier driving

Also, Birel has developed a new clutch lever “DIRECT” which thanks to a tilting system, the gears will be inserted faster and with more precision.
