Brock Plumb Wins Yamaha Japan Drive

Yamaha today announced that Brock Plumb, from Forest Lake in Queensland, is the winner of the trip to Japan to compete in the Toyota All Japan SL Final. The prize includes flights and accommodation for two people, plus use of a kart and engine in Japan.

The 17-year old will represent Australia in the land of the rising sun in November at the 37th running of the famous event. This years final will be held at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, world famous for hosting a round of the MotoGP World Championship every year as well as many other national and international race meetings.

"Brock will not only represent Australia on behalf of Yamaha but also get the chance to see some of Japan’s famous sights like Mount Fuji and ride the famous Shinkansen (bullet train), reaching speeds in excess of 300 km/hr" Yamaha's Adam Wolfenden informed KartSportNews.

"He’ll also get the chance to check out the motorsport museum housed at the circuit."

Brock joins past winners from Australia Matt Wall and David Sera and is gunning to add his name to the honour roll.  Other famous names to compete include Ayrton Senna and Jarno Trulli.
