  • Sportsman Enduro was introduced as a state based class by Karting NSW after the collapse of ProKart in June. In the best interests of the sport, the teams and drivers voted to join the AKA and the first event under AKA will run at Bega this weekend. So far there are 16 teams entered for the event. An eight round series is proposed for 2014. The races will be between six and nine hours duration, but one will be a special 24-hour enduro.

  • The Varennes circuit in France - location for the KZ1 World Championship and KZ2 Super Cup later this month - is pretty damn fast. Here's a lap of the track with Kiwi Daniel Bray as he prepares for the meeting aboard his KZ2 GP Kart:

  • David Sera has confirmed dates for the upcoming driver training days in Western Australia. They are:
    • Thursday 26th September (Cockburn)
    • Saturday 28th September (Cockburn) Nearly full
    • Sunday 29th September (Wundowie) Nearly full

  • This weekend's race meeting at Dubbo, which clashed with the Clyde Marshall meeting at Lithgow, has been cancelled. "Due to the hectic country karting calendar we got indications from our members and other clubs that our meeting to be held on this date would not be well supported and would have been unviable for us to hold due to lack of racers and officials" the club posted on its website. "If you are after some great racing for that weekend, head to Lithgow and support CDKC." The Lithgow event is the last major meeting at the venue prior to the NSW State Titles, so there are sure to be some big classes and great racing.
