  • Esperance Kart club are running a WA State Title 'Shakedown' meeting on 31st August -1st September. The event is sponsored by Cliffs and run in conjunction with Karting WA  Inc. It's a prelude to the 2013 WA Sprint Kart State Championship to be run at the venue on October 4-6. Pre-entries for the shakedown close this Friday, August 23.   • A dedicated 'Girls Only' class will run at the Eastern Lions Kart Club's annual Junior Sprint Classic at Puckapunyal on September 7 and 8. The class will be Junior National at 130kg, no maximum kart weight and open to A, B, C and P licence holders. There's also $500 of prize money on the line for the winner of the Junior Clubman "Champion of Champions" feature race. $1100 of cash will be distributed down to 5th place in the 20-lap feature which is open to the first 24 finishers in the regular Junior Clubman class final.   • The Launceston Kart Club now has a Cadet-Rookie kart. This will allow any interested families in the area who are considering getting their 7 to 10 year old involved in the sport can at least give the kid a test drive.   • Entry for Round 5 of the CIK Stars of Karting Series, hosted by the Go Kart Club of Victoria on September 21/22 at the Todd Road Karting Complex in Melbourne, are now open. Supp Regs are on the Race Calendar page.

  • The Wagga District Kart Racing Club has seen an increase in numbers competing at its monthly race days. Thirty-one drivers from as far away as Canberra, Leeton and Griffith competed in 10 classes recently. More on The Daily Advertiser website HERE.

  • The MSA (governing body of karting in the UK) has announced that it has selected the Comer C50 as the Bambino kart class engine, to take effect from 1 January 2014.  The name of the successful tenderer for the supply of tyres to the category will be announced soon. The MSA will also introduce three new kart classes for 2014, for an initial three-year period: Formula KGP Junior; IAME X30 Senior and IAME X30 Junior.

  • The first round of the CIK-FIA World Championship for KF will be hosted at PF International from 28th August to 1st September. It will also be the final for the KF3 (Juniors) Super Cup. The event will be live timed/streamed at www.cikfiachampionship.com
