a few briefs...

  • The US Rotax Nationals were held on the weekend at the Mooresville circuit in North Carolina. Videos of the Finals from all seven classes are now online via the Kart Racing Network - click HERE to watch them. Results from the meeting are on mylaps HERE. A photo gallery can be found HERE. Winers of the finals were Michael D'Orlando (Mini MAX), Dylan Tavella (Mico MAX), Max Papis (Masters MAX), Daniel Formal (DD2), Alan Rudolph (DD2 Masters), Juan Manuel Correa (Junior MAX) and Oliver Askew (Senior MAX).

  • Entries for the Australian Rotax Nationals close THIS THURSDAY, August 15 (remember, late entries cannot be accepted). There are already over 100 confirmed for the event, which takes place at the Eastern Lions circuit at Puckapunyal from August 29 to September 1st.   • Queenslander Jeff Cox is enjoying his return to the kart track and claimed a podium placing at Gladstone's Double Direct meeting on the weekend. Having played around recreationally with karts with a friend (who left to go drag racing), Cox is now joined on track by his father and brother. Read more on the AKA site HERE.

  • Also on the AKA site is an update on Jett Johnson (Dick's grandson) who competed at the Junior Top Gun meeting at Warwick on the weekend. Click HERE for more on Jett's racing aspirations. Jett was joined in the Cadet field by Oscar Targett, the son of Australian karting icon Jon.
