Mathew started racing at the age of 10 and as a wildcard entry for the Australian Rotax Nationals event, he is keen to prove his talent against Australia's best.

“I am really excited to be racing for Sodi Australia and IKD at the upcoming Australian Rotax Nationals. The Sodi chassis has been performing really well for me in New Zealand and I am hopeful it will translate into a great result in Australia at the Nationals,” said Mathew.

“A huge thanks to Samantha and the Team at IKD, their assistance and support has enabled me to make the trip to compete in Australia with the Sodi brand,” continued Mathew.

Mathews’ family are regular faces at the Australian Rotax Pro Tour supporting both their sons racing here as well as back home in in New Zealand. Mathew is currently leading the 2013 Rotax Max Challenge series in New Zealand and is the defending 2012 Rotax Light Champion. With his brother, Daniel, currently sitting in 7th place on the Australian Rotax Light ranking it will be a family affair within the Rotax Light class.

“We are all really appreciative of the assistance from IKD and hope to fly the Sodi flag well, for both sides of the Tasman,” said Mathew’s mum, Anita Kinsman.

The 2013 Rotax Nationals Championships kick off with two days of practice on 29th & 30th August with racing commencing on Saturday 31st August and Finals days Sunday 1st September 2013.
