New Sponsor For NSW Speedway Round 2

press release 5 March 2013

After a successful Round 1 three weeks ago to kick off the 2013 season, the drivers of the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club line up again this Sunday to contest Round 2 - “The Bridgestone 400” Presented by Bridgestone Select Mount Druitt.

Bridgestone Select Mount Druitt, located at 10-12 Luxford Road in Mount Druitt, joins the NSWSKC as a "first time" partner of the Club. The business is owned by Club member, Mark Binskin, and he  would like to see as many members come in to get a great deal on tyres, wheels or mechanical repairs for any make or model of vehicle.

The Binskin Family have been members of the Club for three years and Jordan, who successfully runs in the Clubman Light class, is one of the real favourites to succeed in the class this year.

The Club Executive, on behalf of the members, would like to thank the Binskin Family for their support and the Club is looking forward to hosting "The Bridgestone 400" this weekend.

With the completion of Round 1, the competition across all classes looks like it will be a tough year for drivers to forge their way to the pointy end of their respective classes.  The two stand outs coming out of Round 1 were Matt Elliott in the Clubman Heavy class and Connor Moreau in the Cadets class, both drivers taking four wins from four starts and, in doing so, have taken a very comfortable early lead in the championship points race.  Another contender is Daniel Sayre who, coupled with his achievements during the meeting, sits on top of the Club Championship having also taken out the Outstanding Achievement Award on the day .

However most drivers will be better for the run and will have sorted out their machines to get maximum performance this weekend.

This meeting moves to the 400mtr long track and will see drivers across the meeting reach speeds of over 100km/hr as they take their motors to the limit.  The big question will be - can any one stop Matt, Connor and Dan?

If you are a speedway fan and enjoy good quality racing, you need to come out to Castlereagh and watch the speedway stars of tomorrow learn their craft as they contest Round 2 of their 2013 championships.

"The Bridgestone 400" race meeting is being held at the Nepean Motorsport Complex on Rickards Road, Castlereagh, with racing commencing at 10am.

Entry to the venue is $5 per adult to see 24 events and afterwards spectators are encouraged to stay and join in the celebrations of the day’s results.  The Club has a full canteen to assist you with all the food and drinks you require as you spend a lazy Sunday on the grass hill watching fantastic speedway action.

Along with Bridgestone Select Mount Druitt the NSWSKC would like to acknowledge and thank all their corporate partners for their continued support throughout 2013.
