  • "Muscle Karts" will compete at the Rock Island Grand Prix in the United States later this year. An Open Unlimited class will allow entrants to race engines with unlimited modification, subject to staying within set displacements. Organisers say that in addition rotary, reed and piston port 2-strokes, there can people running 4-stroke, wankels and twins in the class. With rules such as "if a kart is equipped with turbocharger or nitrous oxide, add 15 lbs (6.8kg) for each cylinder served by the system" it's sure to be a heck of a ride!

  • Junior Rotax and DD2 have been added to the list of classes at this year's SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas. The winner of each class will become the first drivers to secure seats at the 2014 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals, to be held at a yet-to-be disclosed location.

  • Luxury watch maker TAG Heuer is the Official Timing Partner of the Super One British Kart Championships. The 2013 TAG Heuer Trophy commences April 6th and will reward the best twelve drivers of the Super One Championship season with iconic TAG Heuer Formula 1 timepieces.
