Hurricane Kart Club – End of Year Presentation

from Troy Thompson 12 December 2016

Another year done & dusted for the Hurricane Go Kart Club in Wundowie with the end of year presentations being held at the club rooms recently.

It’s been a tough year with nominations down on previous years, mainly due to the current karting economic climate and also due to the incredible number of wet weekends this year in Perth. However, the committee has some exciting ideas to help turn this around and see club level racing back to its former glory.

The top 3 from each class received their trophy, as well as the members selected for the vast range of perpetual trophies. There are a few special mentions that need to be made:

  • Best Club Person – Cassie Worboys. Cassie took over the reins as Canteen Manager this year, although the canteen has always been well managed, she took it to a new level, seeing vastly improved profits for the club.
  • Alan & Val Wilks – Alan has been the president and Val the Club Secretary for many years, but both have decided to step down from the committee for next year, thank you both for your selfless service over this time.
