Karting News Briefs

  30 October 2015

  • IKD's Donald Stevens has been wearing his moustache for a looong time. But that could change very soon with the help of the karting community. "If we can raise $5,000 towards MOVEMBER, Donald will shave off the 25 year lasting, ever loved moustache!" IKD informed KartSportNews. Make your contribution to the effort via Donald's page on the Movember Foundation website HERE.

  • The entry closing date for the 2015 Tasmanian State Championship has been extended to November 4 (next Wednesday). The event takes place at Launceston on November 20 to 22 and is open to interstaters. Enter via CMS. Supp Regs are on the Race Calendar page HERE.

  • Kartlink report that UK karting will use the MSA's car racing rules for karting next year with regard to track limits. Drivers will not be allowed put a wheel over the white line that defines the edge of the track, unless there is specific kerb behind it. If they do it more than twice, they may be excluded from the meeting. It would appear there needs to be some tweaking of the wording as, apparently, not all their tracks actually have these white lines.
