  • Popular Victorian race official Graeme Monds has been made a life member of the Victorian Karting Association. He has been the Clerk of Course with the hugely successful Rotax Pro Tour for the past couple of years. Monds had a long and prosperous career in speedway sedans before taking up karting in the late 1980s, firstly as a driver then as Gippsland Club President and VKA official. Along with wife Jeanette, Graeme is also a life member of the Gippsland Go Kart Club.

  • Is this not one of the better looking entries for this year's Bathurst 1000? Iconic Australian oil company Penrite, who also make a full synthetic racing oil for karts (see HERE), have taken naming rights sponsorship of the Will & Alex Davison Erebus AMG V8 Supercar for the rest of the season. We reckon it looks brilliant. And, or course, it's painted in one of Betty's favourite colours ;)

  • The Karting Australia logo will been seen at the Bathurst 1000 this weekend with Shamick Racing driver Leigh Nicoloau flying the flag for the karting community.

  • The latest point score for the 2015 TaG Super Series has been updated to incorporate the results from the recently run round 4 at Eastern Creek. Download the PDF, which contains all points for all classes across the four rounds so far, HERE.

  • Here's a video highlights package from the 7th running of the Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix in the United States is below. Kiwi Matthew Hamilton enjoyed a win at the GP with the factory Aluminos team. The event was also the final round of this year's SKUSA California ProKart Challenge.

  • The Wimmera Kart Club's Horsham circuit will be closed on Sunday October 11 (9AM to 5PM), and Friday October 23 & Saturday the 24th (5:00PM to 10:00AM). The Holy Trinity Racing Team will be using the kart track and facilities for training ahead of the "Energy Breakthrough Challenge" in Maryborough for HPVs (Human Powered Vehicles) in November.

  • Karting officials in NSW may soon have a rewards program to be part of. "We are pleased to announce the introduction of Karting New South Wales Officials Recognition and Rewards program which is part of our Strategic Plan" a Karting NSW communication read. The Rewards Program will offer a purchasing rewards program in conjunction with a company called Affinity Alliance. "This company has arranged discounts with many suppliers and provide the purchase cards and the administration of the program for a fixed annual fee which will be covered by Karting New South Wales." Officials will need to work at ten race meetings to qualify.

  • BirelART Australia has enjoyed a total of 35 podiums during the 2015 Rotax Pro Tour series and has had three team drivers qualify for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final. "Congratulations and thanks go to all our 2015 BirelART Race Team drivers, mechanics and their families" BirelART wrote on Facebook. "Thanks also to all our loyal dealers and customers, supporters, family and friends for the outstanding results throughout the 2015 Rotax Pro Tour. Always remember, 'the red karts go faster'!"

  • Kartlink reports that the TKM class will have decompression valve available next year. Called the EeziStart system, it will make push starting direct drive engines much easier, while at the same time also aiding electric start engines whether using on-board TAG or outboard starter.
