Aaron Cameron To Race In Europe

Victorian junior karter Aaron Cameron will make his European karting debut later this year.

The 15-year old will compete in round three of the WSK Super Masters series at the famous La Conca circuit in Italy in on April 12. He will drive TonyKart-Vortex with the Kartronix International team in the ultra-competitive KF-J class.

Aaron is full of confidence ahead of the event. "It's going to be a great feeling and huge challenge to step onto the international karting stage with some of the best karters in the world" he said. "To race at the famous La Conca circuit will be a dream come true”.

Aaron will treat the WSK round as preparation for a crack at the CIK-FIA Junior World Championships in Italy in September.

"We will be returning to Europe have a tilt at the World Championships. We feel we have everything available to take on the world’s best and we will be giving it our best shot!”

Meanwhile, Cameron’s Australian Karting Championship assault is shaping up with confirmation he will continue aboard DPE Kart Technology product for the 2015 series.

“It’s great to continue the partnership with DPE in 2015! They helped me win my maiden CIK State Championship in 2014 and I believe with the backing of the team I will be at my strongest going for a maiden national championship”.

The opening round of the Australian Kart Championship will take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of April at the Go Kart Club of Victoria.

Aaron had his first hit out at the new look Victorian State Championship on the weekend at the Geelong Kart Club in the Junior Clubman class. He admitted lacking a little pace at crucial times, but was very happy with a fourth place finish and solid points coming out of the opening round.

“We didn’t quite have the pace to go with the front guys this weekend" he said. "With limited practice and a bad start in heat 1, a fourth place finish for us in the final was a great result and a great points banker for us in our championship assault”.

Round 2 of the Victorian State Series is at the Go Kart Club of Victoria on the 17th, 18th and 19th of April.
