  • The WSK Champions Cup coverage on wsk.it will have have English commentary (by Australia's Ian Salvestrin) for tonight's events, plus the second round next week. Pre-finals commence at La Conca 11:10am local time (9:10pm AEDT) with the finals at 2:10pm (12:10am AEDT Monday morning).

  • Now is the time for Australian karters aged between 13 and 15 to register their interest in competing in the 2015 CIK-FIA Academy Trophy. To be nominated by Karting Australia to contest the series, potential competitors need to fill in and submit the form that can be downloaded HERE. They will need to hold (or be eligible to acquire) a Junior International C grade licence. The form needs to be submitted by February 17. The 2015 CIK‐FIA Karting Academy Trophy will be held on the circuits of Zuera (Spain, 21-24 May, including a test day), Genk (Belgium, 10‐12 July) and Le Mans (France, 11-13 September).

  • IAME X30 Super Shifter 175cc TaG engine. "This sensational engine features an extremely exciting power output, close to the top KZ engines, combined with super reliability and the electric start. The outcome is an engine ready to satisfy the most demanding gearbox fans" says the blurb. The X30 Super Shifter is a 6 speed, single-cylinder, two-stroke, 175cc engine with float carburettor (Dell'orto VHSB 36 RD) and electric starter (it's a relative of the IAME Drifter, winner of the CIK-FIA European KZ Championship). Maximum RPM is 13,700 with a power output of 49HP. "The engine, sold all around the world, is used in the X30 Super Shifter categories in the different stock class championships quickly growing in many countries, as well as in the international IAME races: the X30 Challenge Europa and the IAME X30 International Final."


  • Harrington Doyle Racing has revealed some of their 2015 HDR Arrow Kart livery with confirmation of five drivers and their competition classes for the season: #2 Harrison Oddie (Junior National), #4 Scott Sorensen (KF2 and TaG Light / Pro), #9 Harrison Oddie (Junior Clubman), #21 Brenton Simonds (X30 and TaG Heavy / Pro), #22 Jake Downs (X30 and TaG Heavy / Pro) and #90 Luke Flynn (X30 and TaG Light / Pro).
