Young Christchurch karter Louis Sharp led home a South Island lock-out of the podium in the Cadet ROK class at the opening round of the NZ Top Half Series at Te Puke on Sunday.

Top Kiwi karters Madeline Stewart and Josh Drysdale are amongst the favourites heading into the fourth round of Australia’s Rotax Pro Tour series at Coffs Harbour on the central New South Wales coast this weekend.
The 2017 European Championship event in Spain has been extremely tough on the machines and on the drivers, however, the competition was superb and Team Birel ART finished in the top 10 in each of the three categories despite the difficulty of the event.
Australia’s best Rotax karters will flood Coffs Harbour for the Pro Tour round this weekend – but they’ll need to take on a trio of locals and some rapid Kiwis if they plan to make the podium in a capacity Rotax Light field.

This year the WA KZ2 Series has been awarding X30 drivers an “Arrive & Drive” entry in the gearbox class. Tyler Nastasi is the next recipient, set to suit up at Wanneroo later this month.
