Gladstone Kart Club held its Championship Round Seven which was also a race to commemorate & celebrate Benny Benedetto, who sadly passed away 12 Months ago.
The event doubled as Leg One of the Wide Bay Curtis Cup Twin Track Challenge with Bundaberg Kart Club.
Perfect Conditions greeted the drivers who began qualifying just as soon as the kangaroos were ushered off the track!
It was great to see 54 entries contest the event which had $500 cash prizes for the winners of several classes, thanks to some fabulous sponsors – Rayment Excavations, CMC Calide Manufacturing Company, Mates Rates Mechanical, Coombs Mechanical, Butler Fabrication, Ultimate Service Centre. Further, two sets of tyres were donated by Brisbane Northside Emergency.
