“The Global Karting Plan, now in its second year, was implemented to make karting more affordable, globally accessible and inclusive, with new formats such as Arrive and Drive transforming the karting landscape and contributing to a record 1,215 driver entries last year, a 25% increase on 2024.”
Nortoft said it had “been a privilege to serve as Head of Karting at the FIA over the past few years, working towards an ambitious but important and rewarding mission to open up karting and grow the foundation of our sport.
“Having been involved in karting as a driver, from within a team, to working with the Danish ASN and now in this important role, it has been an honour to see the sport from every angle and to help shape its future.
“I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I want to thank everyone in the FIA and karting community for their support.”
