Australia’s young karting talent flew the flag proudly at the FIA Karting Arrive & Drive Asia Pacific Championship over the weekend, a podium finish for Knox Black in the Junior category and AKC regular Conrad Garrow in Seniors.
Extremely wet conditions on Sunday played a major role in proceedings, with organisers forced to abandon the second and third heat races.
In the Senior category, Garrow claimed the runner up spot while Hugo Garraway narrowly missed the podium after crossing the line fourth, before a front fairing penalty dropped him to 6th in the final classification, while Scarlett Pittam (8th), Alana Gurney (11th) and Vincent Ter Horst (DNF) also gained valuable experience on the international stage and represented Australia with pride.
