Former Karting World Champion Wade Cunningham is the first person to be inducted into the Karting New Zealand Hall of Fame.
Cunningham was the first of three significant people in NZ karting to be bestowed the honour, John Hamilton and Ryan Urban also inductees – see videos below.
In recognition of decades of support to the sport, Karting New Zealand awarded its 28th Life Membership to Anita Kinsman. Other awards include:
- Scott McLaughlin Award for Youth Driver of the Year – Tommy Hart
- Sir Scott Dixon Masters & Legends Driver of the Year – Ryan Urban
- Brendon Hartley Award for Senior Driver of the Year – Zach Tucker
- Photographer of the Year – Kate Elms
- Volunteer of the Year – Kerry Miller
