The DPE Kart Superstore Victorian Country Series has converged on Horsham, with Round 4 being hosted by the Wimmera Kart Racing Club over the weekend.

Cold and slippery morning conditions greeted the 222 drivers who took part in proceedings, with sunshine filtering in across the afternoons.

The Wimmera club presented the venue beautifully, with several improvements to the circuit and surrounds obvious for all to see.

The meeting ran smoothly, with just the one red flag in KA3 Junior Light.

There was a staggering number of clean sweeps, with 10 of the 12 classes recording the feat.

KA3 JUNIOR LIGHT (26 Entries)

Tight finish in Junior Light! Archie Bristow (81) pips Scarlett Pittam (13) and Michael White

Archie Bristow was in strong form in KA3JL, and led the field to the start of the final. After challenging at times in the heats, Michael White put up a big fight in the final, the pair exchanging positions on multiple occasions. The challenge went right down to the final lap, as White drew level with Bristow on the back straight, however White ran wide under brakes and was forced to run across the grass to the last corner. Coming back on in front of the field, he was forced to concede to Bristow just before the line, capping off a clean sweep for Bristow. Scarlett Pittam seized her opportunity to grab second place after looking secure in third. White would settle for third after a great showing. Noah Johnstone bounced back from some setbacks to take fourth, ahead of Sebastian Tander who was impressive in fifth.

Fastest qualifier Robbie Turmie leads TaG R Medium, but it’s the 56 of Spiros Anagnostopoulos who took victory in the final

Robbie Turmine and Spiros Anagnostopoulos occupied the front row of the final in Restricted Medium, with Spiros gaining the ascendency at the start. Turmine tried gallantly to overhaul Spiros, but not even the home track advantage would be enough. Spiros taking the win on his return to VCS competition, and raising the bar in the process. Turmine banked more points to towards his pointscore by finishing second. Jeremy Kiensrod nailed down a podium after a strong weekend, third his result. Fourth and Fifth was Jamie Meadows and Phil Hobbs, who both showed front running pace across the weekend.

Jai George (47) continues his impressive march in Junior Heavy, here leading Oliver Stania (41)

Another driver in scintillating form was points leader Jai George in KA3JH. George kept the momentum rolling by taking an early lead in the final. From there he edged away from the field to complete his third victory in four rounds! Portland winner Oliver Stania and Mason Mahony duked it out for the final place on the podium, with Stania getting the better of that battle to take second. A first VCS podium was a just reward for Mahony, finishing third after a competitive weekend. Oscar Corless and Arjun Sandhu completed the top five.

Jarvis Hindle (54) on pole, Jonathan Testa on P2, Cadet 12

The oversubscribed Cadet 12 field ran the alphabet before converging for the 18 lap final. Undefeated and starting on the pole position was Jarvis Hindle, and alongside him Raf Busuttil. Between them, they have owned the class in 2026. But Horsham would belong to Hindle, his speed and precision proving too much, remaining unbeaten on his way to a second win of the season. Busuttil was gallant on his way to a strong second place, and more important points. Jonathon Testa found the speed he had in Cadet 9 and was a strong contender throughout, claiming third place for his efforts. Ben Henman and Daniel Hall rounded out the top five.

Adam King leads, but finished off the podium in the final, won by Ben Moritz (Black Plate #21)

Ben Mouritz took control of Tag Heavy after qualifying, and continued that momentum through to the final, as he extended his advantage to race to victory. Max Lumsden proved to be a threat in the heats and early stages of the final, but Scott King would hustle his way up to second in the closing stages, relegating Lumsden to third. Lachlan Sharpe was pacey in fourth, ahead of fastest qualifier Adam King in fifth.

Clean sweep for Seth Burton (5) here leading Brocklan Parker (46)

Warrnambool’s Seth Burton picked up exactly where he left off at the previous round at Portland, storming through undefeated in the heats. The final would be no different as he raced away to victory, making it two round wins in a row. Brocklan Parker put a difficult home round behind him, locking into second place in the final at Horsham. Ryan Dealy was in close proximity in third, but couldn’t wrestle it away from Parker. Robbie Turmine and Cassius Barber rounded out the top five.

TaG R Heavy winner Daniel Hinds leads Aaron Jackson (2)

Tasmanian Daniel Hinds made his second appearance in VCS, and certainly made his presence felt! Hinds and Aaron Jackson were evenly matched on the timesheets, but Hinds was excellent on cold tyres in the heats. The final was the closest encounter of the weekend as Jackson stalked the back of Hinds. Hinds though, withstood the pressure to claim his first VCS win in just his second attempt. Jackson was rock solid in second, adding to his Hamilton win. Portland Winner Jett Rendell claimed the final spot on the podium in third. Trent Meadows and Michael Ratkowski fought hard for their fourth and fifth places respectively.

Jaska Maher leads final winner Zach Findlay out of turn 1

Zach Findlay has owned KA3 Senior Light in 2026, and Horsham would be no different. After winning all the heats, the final also went to plan, Findlay maintaining his unbeaten streak in 2026 to claim yet another classy win. Max Johnston and Christian Sasso waged a war for second place, after both proved to be capable front runners. Sasso eventually got the better of that battle to finish second ahead of Johnston in third. Ethan Warren got going at the right time to take fourth, ahead Thomas Patching in fifth.

CADET 9 (20 Entries)

Jordan Butters (Blue Plate #23) on pole and under pressure at the start from P2 Jett Gobourne (9)

Jordan Butters and Jett Gobourne were the only two drivers to have won a round in 2026, so it was only fitting they led our youngest competitors to the start of the final. Once the lights went out, it was Butters who powered away from the field. He would put on a very impressive display of driving to claim victory by 5.5 seconds. Gobourne had a lonely run through the final to finish a strong second. Henry Dohnt nailed his first VCS podium by finishing a fine third. Isaac Forward and Hayden Sharp both drove well to round out the top five.

Shane Moreland (46) dives into the lead at turn 1 ahead of Ben Kilsby (33)

A Pair of fast South Aussies occupied the front row of the Restricted Light final, Shane Moreland undefeated on pole, alongside Ben Kilsby. Moreland again proved to be the driver to beat, as he put it all together for his second round win of 2026, 1.1 seconds the margin. The Dealy siblings were right up the pointy end, and both landed on the podium. It was Ella Dealy taking a strong second place, ahead of brother Ryan in third. Heath Oldis and Ben Kilsby were right amongst it in fourth and fifth.

Zach Findlay was untroubled to win his second class of the day

There was chaos at the start of the Tag Light final, with several drivers either eliminated or setback. No surprises though, there was no such trouble for the simply undeniable Zach Findlay. Findlay led from start to finish to win his second class of the day, recording a third round win in the class for 2026! SA’s Noah Enright had to bounce back more than once across the weekend, but was good enough to get back to second in the final. Max Marriner was super consistent as always, finishing off his work in third. Trent Ashman and Christian Sasso put together solid finals to round out the top five.

Back to his old stomping grounds, Remo Luciani (20) clean-swept Vic Combined Masters, over Ash Mitchell (5) and Mark Heemskerk (23)

The Master from Horsham on his home track was always going to tough to beat, and Remo Luciani again proved why he holds that mantle. He was smooth and fast as always, surging to a five second victory, his fourth consecutive win. Ash Mitchell was admirable all weekend, pressuring Remo for as long as he could, but second would be his ultimate result. Mark Heemskerk ran a lonely race in the final to finish a distant third. Gary Duff and Greg Ord joined in the fun at Horsham and rounded the top five positions.
