There has been a number of interesting developments in karting overseas involving Rotax, plus shifter karts for Cadet drivers.

Rotax/SuperNats

Rotax has revealed it will have two classes on the card at this year’s SKUSA SuperNationals. Fields of Senior MAX and Mini MAX will join the lineup in Las Vegas this November.

Because of this, the prize package for the USA Rotax MAX Challenge Trophy Final has been expanded. Eligible winners will now be able to choose between a Rotax Grand Finals ticket (Portimao, Portugal) or a SKUSA SuperNationals entry (Las Vegas).

Mini MAX will make its debut at the SKUSA SuperNationals

Shifterkarts for Kids

Meanwhile, a Mini Shifter category will make it’s national debut at the USA’s RMC Final Trophy event at New Castle Motorsports in a couple of weeks. FZ Shifter is the dedicated shifter-kart brand under the American Kart Manufacturers (AKM) umbrella.

Finally, Rotax Racing Club Austria is a new Arrive-and-Drive destination, located at Speedworld Bruck an der Leitha. A fleet of BirelART chassis fitted with 125cc Junior MAX engines will offer customers the ability to go racing without kart ownership, transport logistics or a mechanic.
