Estasy Cracks The AKC

In his first full tilt at the Australian Kart Championship, Christian Estasy took victory on the final day of a tough five round championship in one of the most competitive classes of the year, KA3 Senior.

It was a season of speed and consistency – victory at the opening round in Melbourne, fastest qualifier at Newcastle and Coffs Harbour and never lower than third in a final. In fact, Estasy was the only driver in the category to be on the podium at every round.

A year-and-a-half ago, he was not racing. However, a return to the driver’s seat with Rush Performance and his first ever tilt at a full AKC campaign netted the ultimate result.

Christian’s national title sees the family success continue. His dad Adrian is a former national champion himself (in the UK, 1998) and placed third (after qualifying pole) as Australia’s driver at the Rotax Grand Finals in 2004. One would assume there aren’t many (if any?) karting families that can boast national titles on both sides of the equator!

Adrian also praised the high level of work and commitment from Jamie Rush and the collective effort of the entire team at Rush Performance, for whom Christian works during the week.

“It’s unbelievable, the hard work and commitment that both Jamie and Christian have put in to achieve this” he said.

“Also, big thanks to CC Racing. Wherever we turned up, we knew we didn’t have to worry about engines. They were fast and reliable all year.”

“We were quick no matter where we went” Christian added. “Even when things didn’t go our way, we were always able to get back up the front and never had a DNF.”

“I have to thank Jamie personally, my sponsors – Xzuit, KartstoreAU, Bulletproof Waterproofing and Ultimate Karting Sydney – and also my grandad, father and brother.”

So, what does 2026 look like for Christian Estasy? Most likely X30 in AKC…
