Percat Retires

Nick Percat has announced his retirement from full-time Supercars racing at the end of this season.

Why is this posted on a karting website?

Because his karting team, Queensland-based JND Racing, will now become his full focus.

“It’s been a very tough decision over the last few months to get my head around and understand it” Percat posted in a video.

“The decision was kinda made, partly thanks to the JND family.

“I was at Ipswich watching them test and realised how much I do enjoy the other side of the fence and being able to give back to the sport.

“There’s a lot of exciting news into the future of JND Racing.”

Speedcafe reports that Percat still has two years to go on his Matt Stone Racing contract, but it’s thought his relationship with team management had soured.

Percat expressed enthusiasm for his final Bathurst as a full-timer this weekend, teaming up with good friend and ex-karter Tim Slade, himself also originally from Adelaide.
