RE-SCHEDULE – Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club had to abandon another round of its championship on Saturday July 26, due to rain falling half way through the opening heats. Video from the opening races is on The Noise YouTube channel HERE (then scroll down). There’s also lots of photos HERE. All Race Fees from this rained out round will be moved to the Double Points combined event (rounds 7 & 8) on August 16.


KARUN’S KARTS – Sky Sports F1 TV pundit and former F1 driver Karun Chandhok will once again run his “Karun’s Karting Carnival” in the UK this year. Scheduled for the Whilton Mill circuit on October 11, the event raises money for educating underprivileged children. “Every year, teams from all across the UK participate to raise money for educating underprivileged children through our family run charity, The Vishnu Devananda Charitable Trust in India” Chandhok said. “I’m very proud that this will be our fifteenth consecutive year of running the event.”

USA SEATS – Entries are about to open for the event that offers the final chance to secure seats in the Rotax World Final via the United States. The RMC US Trophy Final will award one RMC Grand Finals ticket in each of the following categories: Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX and DD2. The event takes place on October 17-19 at New Castle Motorsports Park, Indiana.
INDUSTRY – Experienced industry veteran Dale Verrall has joined International Karting Distributors as its full-time Race Department Manager. “This is an exciting addition for IKD,” said Ian Black. “Dale’s primary focus will be on race team support, as well as product testing and development.” Along with an unparalleled passion for the sport, Verrall brings over 40 years of experience to the role, which has included stints at DPE and Patrizicorse, plus kart shop owner. “It’s exciting to officially join IKD after many years of working alongside the team within the industry,” Dale said. “Racing and product development have always been my passion, and I’m looking forward to helping IKD customers achieve their maximum potential.”

CADET 9 VOTE – Last week a reader poll asked whether Cadet 9 should continue at the Australian Kart Championship (see initial post HERE for the reason). Initial voting had ‘No’ at 80%, but this has steadily declined to the figure below (as at 6pm 5/8/25). If you want to cast a vote, get in before the poll closes on August 7.
