Round Two of the Ultimate Steel Framing Queensland Superkart Series was conducted on the Switchback circuit at Queensland Raceway.
A number of records were broken over the weekend, and a lap record was broken twice in the same race – Doug Amiss took 0.5 seconds off the 125 National record before Russell Jamieson took a further 0.2s off the time.

125 National, (L to R) Russell Jamieson 2nd, Doug Amiss 1st, Nicolas Raymond 3rd. Nic was consistent through the weekend and his time in the seat is seeing him improve at each round. Lindsay Jamieson had a mixed weekend with an engine seize, but managed to rebuild it to finish the round. Doug Amiss (Anderson Maverick) (pic – ASPA)TaG Light, Jack Murray 1st, Micah Bradley 2nd. Micah discovered that stepping off the track and hitting a grate does nothing for racing performance as his nose cone was spectacularly destroyed. Micah also scored a lap record on Sunday eclipsing that of Jack’s set on Saturday. Jack did not have a faultless run, however set a lap record on Saturday which helped him take out the overall win this weekend.Ewen Burg (Anderson 250 Twin) (pic – ASPA)TaG Heavy, Andrew Cain 1st, Dave Dyson 2nd. Andrew bent an axel due to a racing incident involving another kart on Saturday in Race One but that did not set the tone for the rest of his weekend. Dave had a DNF in Race Two due to a broken chain and didn’t have his usual engine gremlins to chase. Overall, a great category to watch.David Dyson under pressure from Casey Le Garde (pic – ASPA)
