Australia will have a Masters driver at the third round of the INF1NITY IAME Series Asia this weekend.
Melbourne’s Darren Formosa will drive with the Fireball Motorsport team on Kart Republic chassis, using his own engines. He’ll also utilise his local ‘Team Hollywood’ mechanic with sponsor Panduit.

The round is on the spectacular LYL International Karting Circuit, Malaysia, a large and complex 1.5km 23-corner configuration with a bridge and elevation changes.

Formosa joins a bunch of other Australians who are contesting the round with Birelart Racing Asia – Ky Burke and Cooper Fysh in Senior X30, Jay Kostecki, Jackson Wood and George Patrizi in Cadet, plus Jack Larsen in Junior X30.
After two days of practice, qualifying kicks off on Saturday May 17 with the finals on Sunday. The next three rounds will be conducted on the Bira karting circuit in Thailand.

Long-term karting mechanic/engineer/driver Neil McAuley also attends these events as the IAME tech representative.
