A small group of vintage karts had a run at Cooloola Coast’s race meeting a week ago, featuring single and twin-engined machines dating back as far as the early 1960s.

77 Paul Wroe
Chassis: Custom made by Paul Wroe
Engines: Saetta V11 (forerunner of Parilla engines) 15 HP x 2 Kart is early 1960s Open megaphone exhaust as was the style used then.

77 Greg Ryan
Chassis: HKS made in Adelaide SA mid 1970s
Engine: McCullough Mc 92 (American made) Open expansion chamber exhaust (loud)
Year: approximately 1975-77

44 Callum Ryan
Kart: Swiss Hutless 1992
Class: Clubman Twin
Engines: Yamaha KT100s x 2 Approximately 18 hp per engine. Clubman twin do not use front brakes – only dual disc rear brakes.

72 Rob Jackson (QVHK Treasurer)
Chassis: ANS Dominator MK 1 (1972) Made by ANS Engineering, Sydney
Engine: McCulloch Mc92 (1972) 100cc Approximately 11hp
