Thirteen-year-old Mila Siskovski from Point Cook is rapidly gaining attention and quickly becoming a standout after achieving two consecutive podium finishes at the Geelong Go-Kart Club (GKC). Her dedication, family legacy, and big dreams are setting her on a fast track to motorsport success.

First Steps into Karting
Mila’s passion for racing ignited in spectacular style during a casual visit to a go-kart hire track, where she amazed spectators by finishing first among over 20 drivers, some as old as 40.
“She absolutely loved the thrill of it from that very first race,” says her proud father. “She got off the track with a huge smile and asked if she could do it seriously”.
This impressive debut led her family to invest in a second-hand go-kart and enrol her in club-level racing at the GKC where she competes in the Junior Light category.
A Nod to Her Grandfather
Choosing the number 21 for her kart wasn’t just a random pick; it’s a tribute to her grandfather, who competed in hillclimbs back in the 1960s. Remarkably, Mila’s first podium finish – a third-place result – occurred on her grandfather’s 70th birthday, adding sentimental value to the achievement and making the moment even more special.
“She was determined to bring home a trophy for him”, her father explained. “It felt like history repeating itself, only this time in go-karts”.

Consecutive Podiums and Growing Ambitions
Mila’s second club race of the season saw her climb even higher on the podium, securing second place out of 18 drivers. As juniors were the feature class that day, she also received a cash reward, boosting her confidence and providing additional funds to support her burgeoning racing career.
With two trophies already in hand, she shows no signs of slowing down. “It’s great seeing her confidence skyrocket with each race,” says her family.
Dreaming Big
Like many young racers, Mila dreams of eventually competing in the pinnacle of motorsport: Formula 1. She looks up to Australia’s rising F1 star Oscar Piastri and admits to having a teenage crush on McLaren driver Lando Norris. “She admires their skill and dedication, and jokes about maybe racing alongside them one day,” her father adds with a smile.
Looking Ahead
With early successes under her belt, Mila seeks local support to continue her upward trajectory.
“We are incredibly proud of her, and the welcome she’s received at the Geelong Go-Kart Club has been fantastic,” her parents said. “We hope local businesses and the community will come on board to help her chase this dream.”
Whether she’s speeding around the circuit in Geelong or setting her sights on future motorsport disciplines, this determined 13-year-old is sure to keep chasing that chequered flag.
