Do you reckon you’re good enough to win one of the first Green Plates to be awarded by the Australian Auto Sport Alliance at the governing body’s Karting Nationals?
The inaugural AASA National Sprint Kart Championship is taking place at Geelong across the Easter long weekend.
Competitors must have a valid kart racing licence and be able to provide evidence of this if requested. Race Director Domininc Albanese said accepted licences include those issued by AASA, but Karting Australia and Karting NSW license holders can also enter, providing the licence is current.
The event will take place on the 1001 metre long track version of the Beckley Park International Raceway at Corio, north of Geelong.
Official practice commences on Friday, April 18. A further two sessions will be run on Saturday morning prior to qualifying and the opening heats of racing. Any remaining heats, the pre-finals and 16-lap finals take place Sunday, April 20.
