KartSport New Zealand is pleased to announce that both the National Sprint Championship entry fee, plus the Club Day Competition levy charged to clubs are set to be reduced. The Board has promised to constantly review costs and reduce where possible. As such, from 1 March 2025 the Club Day levy will drop back to the previous $10 (incl GST) per entry, which represents a 33% reduction.
It’s important to note, while there will be a saving for the club fee, there will be no direction for this to be passed on to competitors at this stage. Costs continue to increase for clubs, with income required for not only covering race day bills, but also putting away for the high maintenance requirements of tracks and facilities. Clubs will have full discretion as to how they proceed regarding Club Day pricing.
The 2025 National Sprint Championship at KartSport Hamilton will also see a 17% reduction in entry fee, from $480 in 2024 to $395 in 2025. A reminder, that the purchasing of tyres is also no longer required to be paid at the same time as your entry, allowing competitors any arrangement required with their trade dealer. However, tyre distribution at the event will remain unchanged from previous years. The 2025 Nationals Entry Form will also be available in the coming days.
KartSport New Zealand is committed to continuing its work with clubs to create an environment for both successful grassroots and higher level events.
