Riley Boyce, a talented kart racer from Port Lincoln, has an exciting year ahead. He is a proud member of the Port Lincoln Kart Club, which is working hard to improve its facilities and host race meetings in the coming year. With 70 passionate members, the club is fully committed to supporting the grassroots of karting.
Riley and his family have been involved in karting for several years, regularly attending local meetings in Whyalla— despite the 280 km distance. In 2024, Riley competed in all five rounds of the South Australian Festival State Cup Series, which took him across the state to Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Barossa, Murray Bridge, and Adelaide. These events totalled around 7,000 km of travel.
Riley finished just shy of the podium in the series, securing a solid 4th place overall. Well done, Riley!
He also contested the National Championships Round 1 in Adelaide at the newly designed Southern Kart Club at Bolivar. This experience was a huge learning opportunity for both Riley and his dad, Glen, offering a first-hand look at the top level of karting.
Next year, Riley will step up into the competitive Junior category, where he’ll race against seasoned drivers, including South Australian Junior National contender Noah Enright. We’re excited to watch Riley’s progression and are confident he will continue to impress.
Riley’s family, friends, sponsors, and both the Port Lincoln and Whyalla Kart Clubs are all behind him as he looks forward to the challenges and opportunities of 2025.
Riley would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the following for their ongoing support:
