Big Prizes at Victorian Championship

The Geelong Kart Club handed out thousands of dollars worth of prizes at the AASA Victorian State Championship on the weekend.

TaG 125 Light was the feature class, Dallas Greene winning a brand new Arrow X6.2 chassis for taking victory in the 15-lap final. Greene qualified fastest and was undefeated all meeting. He set a new lap record and took a 2.4s victory over Henry Johnstone with local Zach Findlay third. Will Harper was just off the podium in fourth followed by Josh White.

In addition to the Arrow kart, the prize list included a couple of MiniROK engines, five Sniper Laser Aligners and 12 sets of tyres that were raffled off in random draws prior to drivers briefing. The club thanks Dunlop Kartsport, DPE Kart Superstore and Morris Finance.

Clubman Light, a great performance from Akasha McEachran for the win with George Gower second and Kevin Stray third.
Junior Light was won by Eashan Gupta with Ashton Rowley second and Max Mangano third.
Tag 125 Heavy was won by Ryan Cook after a great battle with Jay Racovalis second and Jack Ryan in third.
TaG Restricted Heavy, Jack Ryan took the win from Mitchell Webb and Jett Rendell.
Clubman Heavy was taken out by Bryce Hanson with Chris Davis second and Jason McKay third.
Within the Clubman Heavy race, the top three Yamahas were Chris Davis in first place, Jason McKay second and Elijah Hinz third.
Open Performance victory went to David Buschkuehl with Paul Kendall second and Josh Willett in third.
Joshua White won Restricted Light 125 in fine style with Hugh Wilson an incredible second and Andrew Manley third.
4-Stroke victory went to David Halls with David Bowie second and Bryce Hanson third.
Henry Johnstone set a blistering pace to win KZ2 from Anthony Mrhar and Daniel Richert. A new Alfano timing system (complete with water temp kit) was awarded to the winner.
Rookies was won by Austin McPherson with Koa Patten second and Harley Wilkinson in third.
Novice was taken out by Ben Henman with his brother James Henman second and Arthur Partington in third.
