Ayce’s Double Maiden

To win your first state championship is a major achievement. But to win your first and second on the same day is remarkable. That’s exactly what Victoria’s Ayce Buckley did in the Junior classes at the South Australian Kart Championship at Monarto on the weekend.

Fresh from a breakout big win at the City of Melbourne Titles, the Pro Karting driver won both KA3 junior divisions, taking the blue plate in Light and Heavy classes.

Fastest qualifier Archie Bristow (81) was out of luck again in Cadet 12, dropping from P1 to P6 at the start of the final, charging back to 3rd with fastest lap. Here he leads into turn one in a heat race followed by the Singh brothers, Koda backing it in in the #83! (pic – Trackdown Media)

“Congratulations to all of the blue plate winners, there was some excellent racing this weekend and it was great to see so many happy faces at the end” the Go Kart Club of SA posted.

“Thank you to everyone who came out, from across SA and those who travelled from interstate to attend. We hope you all had a good weekend and we hope to see you at our track again!”
