Thirty-three entries across Junior and Senior divisions fronted at Warwick Kart Club for round 2 of Auskart Racing’s Endurance Series.
Despite the chilly but dry weather conditions, the racing was remarkably close. Every lap was crucial, and the lead changed hands multiple times throughout the event. The teams showcased their exceptional skills and determination, making for an unforgettable spectacle.
It was such a great atmosphere and my team, Rowdy Racers, were able to secure 2nd place on Saturday in the 160 lap enduro and 3rd place on Sunday in the 200 lap enduro, giving us second over all! Alan Lippiatt the team principal wanted myself and gun driver Gavin Sowad to do most of the driving, and it’s fair to say who ever was in the hot seat had such a good time.
Racing in both directions at Sandy Creek Raceway wasn’t without its dramas, a coming together with the number #57 when I was driving hurting our chances of a win. But I’m sure we’re all friends still! The wheel blew up (see below), bent axle and chain dropped, but we re-grouped and got back on track to get two places back.
