A thrilling Sugar City Titles was held on the concrete of Mackay & District Kart Club on the weekend, nearly 90 competitors vying for a coveted cane knife trophy.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, with the rain staying away and the sun shining down. A couple of track records were broken and most of the finals were held under lights which really added to the spectacle.
“A special shout out from the management committee goes out to all the competitors, members, families, volunteers, officials and spectators who played vital roles in making this event a resounding success.” the club stated. “Your dedication and contributions are truly appreciated!”
“The standard of racing was excellent and additionally the sportsmanship displayed was nothing short of inspiring. Competitors supported each other, demonstrating respect and camaraderie, both on and off the track. This kind of spirit is what truly makes our events special.
“And what a day of entertainment with our event commentator, Kev Davies. Your engaging commentary added an extra layer of excitement and entertainment to the event.
