Double Podium for Aussie Rokkers

Australian karters William Calleja and Cody Maynes-Rutty have finished on the podium at the 2022 RoK Superfinal at Lonato, Italy.

Maynes-Rutty (Shifter RoK), Calleja and Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi (both Mini RoK) all excelled at the event and enjoyed heat race wins. Hamish Campbell was the fourth Australian to make their final, taking 12th in Mini.

William Calleja ran up front all meeting and came home in second, just 0.077s of the win. There were 88 other drivers in the Mini RoK field (pic – Calleja/FB)

After qualifying a decent 27th, Corey Carson suffered some mechanical issues, including a dead coil, and was forced into the Trophy race where he charged up 10 positions to take sixth (pic – Carson/FB)

In Expert ROK, one-two for USA with Renato Jader-David and Derek Wang. Marcel Nowak (Germany) is third.

In Expert ROK Plus, an all-Italian Top 3 with Tino Donadei, Paolo Baselli and Gianluca Todeschini.

In Super ROK, Williams Go (Philippines) wins, Alex Machado (Andorra) is second and Daniele Federici (Italy) takes the third place.
