Bright Brothers GPS R4 Team Wrap

Bright Brothers Racing returned to the Golden Power Series over the weekend for the fourth round of the championship. All three brothers were in different class with Bodhi in the KA3 Senior Medium class, Harley in KA3 Senior Light and Zane taking on the TAG 125 Light class.

All three drivers were looking to improve their speed, craft and championship position at the Eastern Lions Kart Club! Zane was the first driver out on track in the near thirty kart field of TAG 125 Light. Zane struggled with a lack of pace in qualifying and had to settle down in position twenty-four. Bright did a great recovery in his opening two heats moving up seven spots to seventeenth in heat one and moving up five spots to nineteenth in heat two.

Bright put in another consistent heat for position eighteen and was starting to find his pace. Zane put in his best performance of the weekend making his way into the top fifteen in the final and recording fifteenth place overall!

Zane spoke post weekend of his mixed weekend. “It was a bad start to the weekend with a large lack of pace and some bad results. The weekend finished well though after finding out what was causing the lack of pace and having decent pace and a good race in the final”.

Harley was out on track next in another near thirty kart field, this time in the KA3 Senior Light category! Harley who is still learning his craft in the senior ranks put himself inside the top twenty-five in position twenty-five and was looking to move forward across the heats. Bright put in an improved three heat races moving forward in all three races. Harley was able to move up to position twenty-two in heat one, position twenty in heat two and position twenty in heat three.

Bright put in another consistent performance in the twelve lap final but due to some contact Harley came home just outside the top twenty in position twenty three. Harley spoke post weekend of his continual improvement in the senior ranks. “It was a good weekend overall, I had pace just didn’t have track position after qualifying and unfortunately had contact in the final but overall was a good weekend”.

Bodhi was the final brother to hit the track in the KA3 Senior Medium category with over twenty in the high calibre field. Bright did a superb job in qualifying landing in sixth spot overall and backed that up with an improved fourth place finish in heat one. Bodhi finished down the order in position fifteen in heat two due to being involved in an incident through no fault of his own. Bright was able to turn things around in heat three with an awesome fifth place.

Bodhi was able to finish his weekend on a very high note, just missing the podium and coming home in an awesome fourth place overall! The KA3 Senior Medium spoke post weekend on his results. “It was a good weekend with some great pace in the new kart. Heat two was a rough start to Sunday being involved in someone else’s accident and ending up fifteenth but it was a great finish to end up fourth in the final”.
