Mark Webber has agreed to participate in the official opening of the new track extension at Canberra Kart Racing Club.
The official opening ceremony is planned for the morning of Tuesday March 10 at the circuit named after him.
“We are excited to have Mark Webber involved in the opening of the new section of the track” CKRC Track Extension Member, James Ordish said.

“CKRC along with the DGroup have been working tirelessly to have Circuit Mark Webber reopened. We are on target for the grand opening and we find it fitting to have Mark involved at the track where his career all started from.
“Also, not only is the track named after Mark, he is also an Honorary Member of the Canberra Kart Racing Club.
“We would like extend a special thank you to long term member, Theo Dimarhos for helping coordinate the date with Mark.”
