Round 1 – March 3, 2019
Hello Karters!
After a rewarding FREE ‘Come & Tune’ practice day on Feb 17, which saw Karters’ ‘Tuning to their Karts Content’, the racing season at Coffs has been received with overwhelming enthusiasm from Karters, Officials, Committee and Visitors!
Spotlighting the Officials is one of our 2019 goals. Every effort on the day was made to show our appreciation! A smashing lunch from our Canteen – lobster and prawn salad – was served to Stewards and Clerk of the Course Officials, which was gratefully appreciated. Our Canteen received numerous compliments regarding the home-made food – especially our Hamburgers, Chicken Burgers and Slices!
Our aesthetically beautiful track was a real talking point among everyone! Thanks to our very dedicated and diligent Track/Grounds Maintenance Team, lead by Ian Brown. Comments like “Wow, you have manicured lawns – not dirt… reminds me of a golf course… the track is stunning and beautiful” were constant reminders of how it is a real privilege to be a part of such a wonderful club!
The racing season has kicked off with a bang! After a well supported Saturday Practice, racing on Sunday began with a wet track. But in true Coffs style, the track dried up and some awesome racing occurred!
The racing on Sunday was very competitive with some great tussles happening in many classes. The victors and the rest live to fight it out at the next round!
