Karting Australia and IKD have released the details of the 2019 Sparco Rotax Pro Tour.
Key changes and information about the upcoming Sparco Rotax Pro Tour series for 2019:
AUSTRALIA DAY OPENER
4 day season kick off event at Todd Road, with Thursday & Friday unofficial practice
SUPER 6 RACES
More racing for you! The Eastern Creek and Puckapunyal events will have a 6 race format with 4 heat races, a Pre-Final and a Final!
NIGHT RACE
The Ipswich race will be a night race with the finals under lights on the Saturday night, this always adds to the spectacle!
The event will run over Thursday/Friday/Saturday (Sunday will only be used in the event of some unforeseen problem)
WINTER CUP
Pro Tour is coming back to Warwick for some winter racing in sunny Queensland!
DOUBLE HEADER SERIES FINALE
The Albury event will have 6 races with 2 heats and a Final on both days of racing!
STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
State Championships will be awarded at the Eastern Creek, Ipswich and Puckapunyal rounds!
SERIES REGISTRATION
Series registration is no longer required!
RACE NUMBERS
Some race numbers are reserved and protected by the Series Regulations. Be sure you do not enter the event using a number that is not allocated to you!
“UNOFFICIAL” PRACTICE
The 2019 Sparco Rotax Pro Tour will have “unofficial” practice, this means more sessions for you and less need to drive interstate for pre-event testing!
TESTING BAN
The testing ban in 2019 is only 2 weeks. This gives you more options to test prior to the event! Refer to the Series Sporting Regulations for exact details.
QUALIFYING GRID
The grid order for qualifying will be based on the order in which you enter for the event (no more qualify to qualify)!
NO DROP ROUNDS
No more dropped rounds. All points count!
MOJO D5
DD2 and DD2 Masters will be racing on the new MOJO D5 tyre.
GRAND FINALS TICKETS
12 seats to the Rotax Grand Finals which will be held at Sarno Italy are up for grabs!
