James Wharton has taken out the fourth and final round of the Rotax MAX Euro Trophy at Wackersdorf in Germany.
The Aussie qualified pole in Junior MAX, then took a 2nd and a win in his two heats to be ranked second overall in the 30-kart field.
He then took third in Final 1 (with fastest lap) and won Final 2 by over 2 seconds.
Despite missing the opening round, Wharton climbed up the rankings to fill the runner-up spot in the European championship behind Mike Van Vugt and also earned a ticket to the Rotax Grand Finals in Brazil.
