Darren Gillis has joined the DPE Kart Superstore team and will be responsible for managing the transporter and mobile retail outlet at major karting events around the country.
Wollongong-based Gillis is the father of current Rotax DD2 World Champion, Cody Gillis and is a well respected figure around karting paddocks, knowing the DPE product lines well.
His first weekend with the team will be at Albury’s Rotax Pro Tour this weekend.
“Darren’s another great addition to our team with many years experience,” said DPE General Manager, Steve Macken.
“He knows the sport and particularly the DPE products extremely well. Being at the major events allows us to provide better service to our customers who’ve supported us through their equipment purchases.
“The DPE mobile Kart Superstore will be at the remaining events of the Rotax Pro Tour, the last round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship and the Race of Stars. Our localised mobile kart superstores in Victoria and Queensland will continue supporting localised events.”
DPE Kart Superstore was born from the acquisition of several karting businesses on the Eastern Seaboard by DPE Kart Technology. Currently there is a retail outlet on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne.
DPE Kart Superstore is responsible for the importation of Energy Corse, FA Kart, Praga, Corsa Kart, Kart Republic, Kosmic and its own built Arrow, KF Karts and Sera Kart along with MG Tires and a full range of support products.
