Australian junior James Wharton scored a podium in each of the Finals at the second round of the Rotax Euro Trophy in Sweden on the weekend.
Wharton (FA Kart) qualified 10th in the 39-kart field, 0.331s off pole (Mike van Vugt, Exprit).
A sixth and fourth in the heats moved him to 5th overall.
James then moved from 5th to second in Final One (0.627s off the win), then scored another podium in a close Final Two, third across the line and just 0.857s off the win.
This made him the third best point scorer of the round behind van Vugt andĀ Kobe Pauwels (Tony Kart).
“Had a great time in Sweden for the 2nd round of ROTAX MAX Euro Trophy” James wrote on Facebook. “Thanks to JVD POWER, Ben George and everyone who continues to support my journey.”
