On the back of a very successful year for the club, where it picked up five Statewide Series class wins, the club is hoping for a couple of “Blue Plates” to come home as well.
In total, 26 Launceston members will be competing at the championships with Cadet 9 driver Kahley Luttrell at his first State Title the youngest, whilst at the other end of the spectrum is Johnathan Males who will be competing in his 23rd.
In the Cadet 12 class the club has a couple of genuine chances in Toby Callow (the reigning Cadet 9 Champion), William Blair, Ollie Richardson and Emilie Williams all capable of taking victory.
TaG Restricted Light will see a number of LKC members battle it out with Andrew Lee, Brodie Sward, Tim Piper, Paul Mckenzie, Calvin Broad, Nick Blackberry and Jonty Darcy all in the mix.
Caitlin Fitch is the sole member in TaG Restricted Medium and if she can have any sort of luck could find herself in for her best state title yet.
KA3 Medium is another class with a strong contingent that will be at the pointy end come Sunday’s final with Jackson Callow, Kurtis Love, Murray Dadson, Ellis Dickenson, Connor Griffin, Males and the ever dependable Zane Wyatt all keen for what could be a LKC trifecta.
In TaG 125 Light, Alastair Lee will head the list alongside new senior graduates Lochie Dalton and Tate Frost, the ever green and former state title holder Nathan Zuj and the fast improving Ryan Jenkins.
The final members of the Launceston kart Club team is defending Tasmanian Champion Troy Stone and Zane Wyatt in TaG 125 Heavy.
