Tyre Changing Made Easy

The biggest problem when changing kart tyres is holding the rim steady - keep the rim still and everything else is easy. This great new product from McKinnon Engines / Kema Kart Equipment will do just that.

The device has a groove around the bottom that the edge of a kart rim fits in. A spring-loaded catch and handle secures the rim in place meaning you can focus your attention on the tyre without having to worry about the rim slipping away from you!

With the rim securely in place, you can quite easily fit or remove tyres by hand (the bead will need to be broken first with a normal bead-breaker). Alternatively, fit the nylon insert disc and use the special leaver for the same purpose. There are existing products on the market that can be used for this, however, McKinnon Engines have their own that features a slightly longer handle for more leverage and an altered nylon insert that will also cater for a number of the magnesium rim styles.

A typical installation sees the unit fitted to your trailer whenever you need to change rims. It can be set up as a permanent or removable fixture.

RRP for the Rim Holder: $195
RRP for the nylon disc and lever: $49.95
Or, buy the complete set for $240.
