BRP has unveiled a new 'Evo' series of engine at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.
As of next month, all new Rotax kart engines will be manufactured with a wide range of upgraded parts, such as a different carburettor, ignition, exhaust, electronic power valve plus other internal items. They will be known as the 125 MAX EVO Engine Series. The intention of the evolution is to make the engine easier to use and even more durable.

(1 kW = 1.34102209hp, so the 125 MAX is now just under 30hp)
All the new parts can be retro-fitted to existing MAX engines. IKD has published a document outlining the changes, as well as how they affect Australian karters and how the new spec motors and parts are planned to be introduced to Pro Tour*.
