  • Deadly Dave Sera will race in Europe again in 2015. The multiple Australian champion has confirmed the news but won't announce any further detail unti next week. "(It) has been a few years since my last race over there, so can't wait to release the news next week."

  • tayla dicker Another karter is about to have a crack at Formula Ford. WA's Tayla Dicker (right, pic by Talia Sutton) will line up in the category at the Wanneroo 300 at Barbagallo Raceway. This weekend she will be the youngest driver in the field and the only girl. While it's her first competitive outing in the FF, the 16 year old is at home on the racetrack, having competed in karts since she was eight. “I really enjoy racing and the whole atmosphere at the track,” she said.

With two karting state titles under her belt, Tayla has been earmarked as a future star by racing’s governing body, CAMS. She was recently selected to attend two CAMS development camps where training focused on the physical and mental aspects of competition.

Women in Australian Motorsport also named her as the winner of their Junior Development Scholarship for 2014/2015.

  • Some karting related articles that have appeared on various localised websites over the past few days:
  • The Oakleigh Go Kart club has had to cancel this weekend's Kingston Cup Enduro meeting. The multi-driver event had insufficient pre-entries to make it viable. This is unfortunate as those who have competed in such races say they are gruelling, but a lot of fun. Maybe Victorian karters are just all raced out for 2014?

  • Driver press release - "Michael Brennan returns for final Golden Power Series round win"
Michael Brennan has won the final round of the Golden Power Series in the TaG Heavy class at the Eastern Lions Kart Club on the weekend. This year Michael has put karting on the back burner due to commitments with Nissan Motorsport. He has now won this round for the 3rd year and lists it as one of his favourite events. He was able to compete at this round and take out the win with the support of his Mum and Dad and also Grant and Jace Lindstrom for the Pro-Karting prepared Rotax engine. Michael would like to thank the Series Organizers, Sponsors, Officials and Competitors and is looking at committing to all rounds of the series in 2015.
