Two Red Plates For DJM Team

The DJM Race Engineering team has been out at the tracks the last few weekends at The Junior Sprint Classic in Puckapunyal and the Australasian Kart Titles at Numurkah. The team took numerous fantastic podium finishes and wins.
Gerry Westerveld has been a highlight for the team of late after taking his first open win at the fourth round of the Golden Power series. Gerry continued on with a fantastic second place at the Junior Sprint Classic the JNL C + D class. Gerry had multiple lead changes with the front battle group. Gerry then broke through for his biggest win to date taking out the Australasians Kart Title and his maiden red plate in karting. Gerry had a superb fight back after starting 8th on the grid and charge through to take a stunning win congratulations Gerry!

Victorian State Champion Cody Donald is up the front everywhere he runs and this was no different at the Junior Sprint Classic. Cody was in a sensational battle with some of the best JNH drivers in the country in Ryan Pike and Ben Harders. Cody had many lead changes and came home in great and respectable third place. Donald then headed to the Australasian Kart Titles and was in another great battle. Donald led the early stages of the red plate final and after a huge battle between four karters Cody came across the line in third spot. Congratulations Cody!

Rod Campbell took out the Australasian Kart Titles in 2013 and went back to defend his title this year. Rod was in a titanic three way battle all weekend and at the start of the final ran second and had his work cut out for him! Rod made a decisive move early in the final and was able to open a crucial gap and go back to back. Congratulations Rocket!
Beau and Fletcher Harris, two of DJM Race Engineering’s up and coming drivers, both had fantastic results in both meetings. Fletcher came home inside the top 5 at the Australian Kart Titles in star stud field with Beau coming home with two 7th places at both fields in highly competitive fields so congratulations to both youngsters.

Regan Clapham took one of his best results to date in the Junior Clubman class at the Australasian Kart Titles. Regan had a great battle in the final having many positional changes and was able to come home in a great 3rd spot. Congratulations Regan and well overdue.
